Being conveniently located to one of the best medical facilities in the country is a huge factor that drives people to move to a certain area.

Proximity to a hospital with great ratings provides peace of mind should one ever find themselves in need of top-notch medical care.

While there are a handful of Pennsylvania hospitals named among the best in the U.S., one is raked higher than all the rest.

According to a list compiled by Newsweek, the best hospital in Pennsylvania for 2025 is Jefferson Health - Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Other Pennsylvania hospitals on the list include Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Penn State Health - Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, and Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, to name only a few.

Here's what Newsweek had to say about compiling the data to discover the best hospitals across the country for the coming year:

"This year's rankings include facilities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The rankings were compiled using quality metrics from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the AHA Annual Survey of Hospitals Database, a nationwide online survey among medical professionals, results from HCAHPS patient experience surveys and a voluntary PROMs (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) implementation survey."
