Olivia Munn is giving credit to her son Malcolm for making her both "stronger and softer."
The Newsroom actress took to her Instagram on Sunday (November 24) to share an adorable photo of her holding her son in honor of his third birthday, penning a sweet message to the little one who "cracked [her] heart wide open." Munn shares the toddler, as well as 2-month-old daughter Méi who was born via surrogate, with husband John Mulaney.
"Magic Malc turns 3 today," she captioned the post, revealing the pic was snapped during a significant time in her life. "This photo was taken last year just around the time I found out I had breast cancer. I remember this time fondly all because of this little boy. He's made me stronger and softer in ways I never knew I could be. Happiest Birthday my sweet boy. You cracked my heart wide open."
Munn also gave followers a look at Malcolm's guitar-shaped birthday cake on her Instagram Stories, hilariously revealing that he has entered his "threenager" era and couldn't care less about the detailed dessert.
"Malcolm loves Elvis so I made this awesome birthday cake but he couldn't care less," she wrote. "He's throwing the biggest tantrum and is on a hunger strike. This threenager thing came hard and fast."
Malcolm is also seemingly coming to terms with his new role as a big brother, but not without a bit of a bumpy start. Mulaney recently shared his son's funny reaction to seeing his baby sister for the first time.
